If you’ve been following me on social media you know that I vacationed in Cabo, San Lucas this past July. I’ve gotten lots of questions and comments on the outfits I wore while in Mexico so I decided to compile my looks into a Throwback Thursday post. The quality of these photos isn’t great but enjoy the looks and shop the links for the things that are still available!

Here’s a quick look at this past weekends house party fit. Kept it simple with high waisted jeans and a wrap top. My favorite beat up Chelsea boots are a weekend go to because they are SO COMFORTABLE. Details below

So by now I’m sure you all can tell that I am a frequent Zara shopper. Definitely guaranteed to be on trend if you shop there but BEWARE. Zara’s clothing is certainly cute but you really have to be selective about the pieces you purchase. Their price point tends to be higher than the H&M’s and Forever21’s but the quality is pretty much the same if not worse than the aforementioned stores. This dress happened to be $39.90 which I think is a decent price for the wear that I’ll get out of it. It’s another versatile piece that I can dress up or throw on some cute sneakers and cross body bag to dress down. The midi length of this dress is perfect and flatters my shape (or lack thereof LOL) and height. Sooo cute.
I also would like to take this time to shout out all of my creative directors and photographers…you know who you are!

These faux leather overalls have been sitting in my closet for over a year now and I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve worn them. Dinner with my family was the perfect time to break them back out. To keep things casual, I paired my overalls with a grunge graphic tee and cutout booties. These overalls are amazing because they can be dressed up or down. I’ve worn these with both heels and sneakers and love both looks. The versatility makes the overalls a staple in my closet. Although these particular overalls are sold out, black denim in a similar style will still get the job done making this look #DateNightApproved
Also, I don’t know if you’ve heard but Nasty Gal has curated vintage designer items available now on their website…it’s pretty life changing…check it out here

If you grew up in church like I did, you know why I call this “Choir Attire.” Ole faithful black and white is a go to combo for choirs everywhere because everyone owns a black bottom and a white top, right? Well whether you’re singing on the choir or not, a classic white shirt and black skirt are closet must haves. I like this particular top because the zipper gives modern edge to a classic look. I opted for this faux leather black skirt because well, leather is always on trend. There’s so much you can do with these versatile pieces! Also, don’t judge me but I just HAD to throw back on my statement suede jacket.
*If you’re thinking your skirt is too short, follow the fingertip rule*

I fell in love with this burgundy moto jacket because it matches the Gucci Blooms bag I’ve been obsessing over. I figured if I bought the jacket, the bag would come next…anyway I love the idea of graphic tees and distressed denim as an everyday look but this statement jacket takes it up a few notches. I do wish my boots were black, I have my eye on a pair of black Chelsea boots but for now these will do.
I love the message of the Lokai bracelet. I purchased around this time last year for myself and a friend. The bracelet is made with water from Mount Everest and sand from the Dead Sea, these are the highest and lowest points on earth. The bracelet serves as reminder to stay humble in the highs of life and to stay hopeful in the lows, I wear it everyday.
“You expensive, you know that? I’m high maintenance a little bit but not in a negative way, I just like extremely expensive things.” These Drake lyrics do not characterize me at all, however, my current cravings may cause you to disagree. Herein lies my fall wish list. These are items I’ve been gushing over for months/weeks on end. Clearly I’m in love with the new Gucci and that accounts for the bag, belt, and loafers on my wishlist…Christmas is around the corner. I also need a new laptop and the rose gold Macbook is a beauty. Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots are a staple in any fashionista’s closet, but that price point though! I fell in love with Marc Jacobs Decadence a few weeks ago but ended up purchasing the YSL Black Opium instead. I see myself going back to pick this fragrance up in the near future. Capping off my list with a gorgeous sweater dress from Zara and the MAC Cleansing Oil, I’ve heard great reviews! What are you obsessing over this season?

BONUS: The day I fell in love

Casual Sunday’s call for simple denim on denim looks. Denim on denim is definitely a trend that has been updated and has made its way back around within the past 2-3 years or so. I am wearing a BDG Chambray Button Down that I purchased from Urban Outfitters (Denim Chambray) along with a Zara denim skirt (29.90!), and Nordstrom BP booties. My bag is the Louis Vuitton Favorite PM in the classic Monogram Canvas and I am obsessed! I am also wearing a brooch that belongs to my mother but wishing it were this Chanel brooch! Even still, I felt that the brooch definitely added something extra to this look! Share your thoughts about denim on denim and adding flare to your look with a simple brooch below!
