10 Things to Buy Before AA Goes Out of Business

Emergency Post!! Okay so I just found out that our beloved American Apparel is closing down due to apparent bankruptcy! What the heck! This store’s price point was much too high for a struggling college student budget but I somehow managed to pull my coins together for the perfect club attire…you remember the cotton halter top bodysuit with the v-neck and cut out back? Every college girls favorite (most anyway). The best part of shopping at AA is the versatility of their items. So this post is dedicated to American Apparel, the basics Mecca. I have selected 10 of my favorite items that you may want to purchase before the deed is done. The store is offering 40% off of everything site-wide and in-store.

I stated in a previous blog post that I would try to get back to my natural hair ways in 2017 so here it is…my little fro fro. It honestly tears me up inside when I look back at old pictures of my poppin fro 😦 anyway, I committed to less heat this year so after my birthday I’ll be puff balls and twist outs for the next few months.

Also, I have talked a lot about my love/hate relationship with Zara because their clothes are always so trendy and cute but the quality is pretty horrific. So I’ve decided that I will only shop at Zara during their twice yearly sale. This top was $50 when I first had my eye on it around October, 3 months later I scored this top for $15.99! And this is the stuff I’m talking about!! Sooooo many pieces that I purchased in the last few months were on SUPER SALE. I’m talking 79.90 marked down to 19.99. I was highly irritated to say the least. As a result, I am making a declaration to only purchase at Zara during their sales because I just cannot. Spending $80 on a pair of pants that rip two weeks later is just not in the cards for me…19.99 I think I can do.

*The Zara items I am wearing here are sold out online but you can check your local store if you are interested*

SN: I really have to get back into the gym as the little bit of curves I had are disappearing into fluff. Peace!

Happy New Year! I brought in the New Year exactly how I wanted, surrounded by family praising our Lord for all he has done. I was honestly a little upset that I was mandated to wear black because although I was in church, I still had my sequins skirt ready for the New Year’s Eve service! Nonetheless, we had to wear black so I reached alllllll the way back into my closet and found my old college faithful AA disco pants. They are black spandex material pants that have a disco ball sheen to them. The pants gave me the quintessential New Year’s celebration vibe but still within the “dress code.” I paired the pants with a simple black turtleneck and got a little fancy with these gorgeous JCrew earrings I was gifted for Christmas and my blue velvet booties. I knew I was wrong for wearing blue shoes but I needed something extra! May this New Year be filled with love, prosperity, and an overflow of blessings, cheers!
