Being sporty spice at the National Harbor for happy hour with my girls proved to be one of the highlights on my Christmas Break thus far. We exchanged Christmas gifts and enjoyed Mccormick and Schmitt’s Happy Hour specials, cosmopolitans anyone? I also payed $8 for a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream cone *side eye* but the experience was well worth it.

I kept it comfy casual with a basic white tee and my new favorite Spanx leggings that give me a little extra tuck for my holiday food generated bulges.

Let’s take a moment to bask in the beauty of these suede navy Adidas…….ok these shoes are everything. They are comforatble and super versatile. I was gifted these kicks in this navy color, burgundy as well as an olive green. I have not seen these shoes anywhere in mens or women’s sizes so I have no idea how they were purchased for me. Shoutout to my plug lol. Threw on an Adidas bomber to finish off the look. I wasn’t sure if my friends would be dressy so I brought along my velvet steve madden booties to up the amp just in case. Turned out needing the booties lol

Happy Holidays

Taking a serious risk and mixing stripes with leopard print and I love it! I had my eye on this JCrew dress since the summer and scored it on Black Friday on sale with an extra 40% off! Glad I waited…I can pair this dress with a shirt underneath for colder months and just wear it sleeveless in warmer weather. I’ve been loving Nars Cruella as my go to red lip but I came across my old faithful, Ruby Woo just in time for the holidays.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to blog in these colder months so bare with me! I froze my tootsies off for these optics 😉

The Perfect Little Black Dress

So by now I’m sure you all can tell that I am a frequent Zara shopper. Definitely guaranteed to be on trend if you shop there but BEWARE. Zara’s clothing is certainly cute but you really have to be selective about the pieces you purchase. Their price point tends to be higher than the H&M’s and Forever21’s but the quality is pretty much the same if not worse than the aforementioned stores. This dress happened to be $39.90 which I think is a decent price for the wear that I’ll get out of it. It’s another versatile piece that I can dress up or throw on some cute sneakers and cross body bag to dress down. The midi length of this dress is perfect and flatters my shape (or lack thereof LOL) and height. Sooo cute.

I also would like to take this time to shout out all of my creative directors and photographers…you know who you are!

Choir Attire

If you grew up in church like I did, you know why I call this “Choir Attire.” Ole faithful black and white is a go to combo for choirs everywhere because everyone owns a black bottom and a white top, right? Well whether you’re singing on the choir or not, a classic white shirt and black skirt are closet must haves. I like this particular top because the zipper gives modern edge to a classic look. I opted for this faux leather black skirt because well, leather is always on trend. There’s so much you can do with these versatile pieces! Also, don’t judge me but I just HAD to throw back on my statement suede jacket.

*If you’re thinking your skirt is too short, follow the fingertip rule*
